.....And Don't Come Back !
"Welcome" indeed ! This picture is offered as a marvelous example of our country's attitude to life. I was rather struck by the fact that the car park, for around forty or fifty vehicles, had no less than four of these "Bugger Off" notices. Not strictly a road sign, and therefore in danger of surviving my campaign to be rid of them, I offer this beauty to my unmitigated colleague to deal with - it bears a striking resemblance to one he posted earlier at a construction site in Rutland.
In the extremely unlikely event of any body outstaying their welcome in the car park, the local authority have despoiled the rather fine lamp standard with a personal message for Ron !

Such a cheery place our modern England hey?
This typifies our green and pleasant land.... sadly.
I like the way the can of XXXXX Supastrong Lager (18p down from 22p) is on its side, having shed its load as it were. Very authentic. And I should know.
What amazes me, and thankyou for the Unmitigated Reference, is that it quite clearly states on the lamp post sign that you must hand over any alcohol in your possession when asked to do so by a police officer. So presumably I could get my collar felt when I scurry by with a bottle of home consumption Greenall's Gin in my poacher's pocket. "Ere, let's be 'avin that. I thankyou".
I see that you were in West Dorset. Been down to River Cottage then? How is Hugh?
If we strip all this stuff away, the Law of Unintended Consequences comes into play. 50 sign-makers go bust, 10 printers go, 700 graphic designers become redundant, 14 Art School/University courses fail and 38 Lecturers are out of work...
In fact, the more I think about it, the more I think we should do it NOW! Where do I sign up for the campaign?
Yes, but if you're on a scooter, motorbike, Bond Bug, rickshaw, tuk-tuk, Fordson Major tractor, Tiger Tank or Ferret Scout Car you're welcome. So stop moaning and think of all the opportunities.
oh - alright
