squirrels around Diploville are pretty good eating,- sort of chicken/rabit ish. We're a bit lazy here and enjoy a slow cooked critter, shred the meat off the bone and make up into burgers with some chopped onion and garlic. seeing as they live on good wholesome grub (this one had a piece of apple in his teeth when i picked him up) they've got to be good. .22 rim-fire
Good meat, Squirrel. As per my blog of six months ago. The locals round here bring a few Squirrel pies into the pub now and again. Great pelt pic. Like a still from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
I am planning to take advantage of the wildlife around my new home...not sure about squirrels though as the phrase tree rat resonates. Merry Christmas to you your family and your bacon!

This recipe can be further enhanced by wrapping raw bacon around a banana, grilling it until the bacon is cooked and then popping it in a pancake. Mix together lemon or lime juice with syrup, warm it through then pour over the pancake.
I wouldn't hesitate to eat squirrel. First, wrap it round a banana then ......
