Vincent Van Go !
Not for the faint-hearted, this classic outfit racing, but very rewarding for the spectator. Now - I haven't sported a beard for about 15 years but I feel I ought to in homage to Bryce Davies and Graham Marston. The pony tail might take a little longer but would help complete the picture. Bryce is apparently reluctant to reveal the current output from this 1200cc Vincent - but considering it is a frequent winner and seems to be carrying a few "paid for" inches - it ain't no slouch. MORE DRIFTING !

Stunning! Real men.
I'm reading The Country of White Clover by H.E.Bates at the moment.
Ah yes - it's the blue smoke coming off the back tyre that got you going, eh?
I have gone quite weak at the knees........more camomile tea....
Camilla, have you seen Peter Hall's film The Camomile Lawn? I'm sure you have. I got very carried away by both the score, an adaptation of Ravel, and the very beautiful Jennifer Ehle, who set my pulse racing like Diplo's motorbike on 'full revs' I can tell you.
Diplomat - I have been introduced to your blog by the mighty Peter Ashley. I feel confident that the post "To 1955, Britain" on my blog "How to Visit the Past" contains a picture that will appeal to you...
Chris - greetings from Diplo HQ. I have visited at HtVtP, got the drift and am now a fan. Unfortunately I failed to lay a comment because of some author permission thingy - the angle was - what fun to sweep up after the show and collect all the parts fallen off the british machines and build up some home made special.
Dear Diplo
Fear not, from where I'm typing, your comment is there. And is much welcome,
I am well made up that you like it (as the kids say). My reply was to
challenge you to build such a machine.
One of the graet things about Vincents is how often that make crops up in popular music. Apart from Mark Knopfler & Emmy-Lou Harris, Ian Dury mentions it in "Reasons to be cheerful".
And if I had a Vinny,I would be VERY cheerful!
It also crops up in a French cornfield when the original tried to blow his brains out.
Oh no! another blog via Peter Ashley! Wonderful
shot of the Vincent outfit diplomat. Now I'm up
to 3 blogs to follow...how will I find the time? I have a Black Shadow outfit on the road with tiny wheels and a Steib chair...exciting but not this kind of power.
